IT Technician

Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Information Technology director, the incumbent will perform a variety of duties order, install, and assists in the maintenance of a variety of systems related to the Township’s technology infrastructure; Research computer equipment and peripherals; Enter department material requisitions; Respond to technology work order requests; Answer telephone calls from users requiring technical support; Systems supported are not limited to, but include the following: Wireless network equipment, copper cable infrastructure, and fiber infrastructure; data routing and switching equipment; network servers and workstations; telecommunications infrastructure; Geographic Information Systems hardware and software; Various server based SQL relational database programs, Desktop applications including the Microsoft Office Suite of applications; Electronic Mail systems including Office 365; Web-servers; Security infrastructure; Backup systems; Other technology based hardware and software systems as required;
Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Requirements include the following:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance plus Computer Science certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation.
· Work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Manage technical documentation.
· Communicate well with a variety of system users ranging from those with no technical experience at all, to those with substantial and specialized technical expertise with mission specific hardware and software. Serve as first point of contact for error reporting.
· Evaluate simple technical issues and communicate important facts related to these functions with other members of the technology staff.
· Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
· Work effectively with onsite and remote workers.
· Perform routine technology updates to all varieties of hardware and software. May upgrade entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
· Research various hardware and software, and present findings to other technical staff.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships, use good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness when dealing with other departments, professional contacts, Township officials, other employees, representatives of other governmental units, citizens, and customers.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effectively use ancillary office equipment & technology, including computers & related software, and the ability to quickly understand new technologies without major issue.
· Remain up to date on desktop applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications, and/or BS&A applications. Provide end-users a path for resolution to issues with these applications.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate with others in person, on the telephone, and via electronic mediums. The incumbent will sit, use a keyboard & mouse, and view computer screens for extended periods. The employee must occasionally move between different facilities both around and outside the Township’s boundaries. The employee must occasionally diagnose & repair computer hardware and software problems involving small components, long strings of random characters, difficult connectors, and complicated electronics. The employee is occasionally required to utilize a wide variety of tools and various related supplies. The employee is frequently required to enter information and commands into a computer to produce both paper and electronic documents.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee normally works in a business office setting, but will require regular visits to maintenance areas, server rooms, supply closets, network closets, vehicles, storage areas, and various other less standard and/or controlled environments throughout our facilities. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but some work areas have equipment that will produce extreme noise. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, works with strong cleaning chemicals, and must lift and/or move moderately heavy equipment.

DEVELOPMENT EVENTS SPECIALIST

The Development Events Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing high-profile events for both UM Health-Sparrow and UM Health-West Foundations. In this fast-paced, dynamic position, the manager will independently coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring each event is delivered with precision and excellence. Responsibilities include managing logistics for signature events, such as handling proposals, registration, layout, decor, food arrangements, and vendor communication. The role also involves leading day-of-event execution, managing event briefs, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
The Development Events Specialist will be responsible for event financials, including budget management, projections, invoice routing, and ensuring compliance with required licenses. This role will also collaborate closely with the foundation’s communications role to develop event collateral, communications, narratives, and timelines.
Additionally, the Development Events Specialist will collaborate with the UM Health-West Foundation Events Specialist, aligning the planning and execution of donor/stewardship events, third-party events, and appreciation events across the UM Health Regional Network. The Development Events Specialist will monitor and assign event requests, ensuring that all events align with the foundation’s standards and objectives.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale event planning.
· Previous experience with fundraising events with non-profit organizations preferred.
· Degree in event management, communications, marketing, hospitality, or related field.
· Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
· Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
· Proven ability to use discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
· Ability to work flexible hours with occasional weekend and evening work as necessary.
· Able to travel within UM Health Regional Network service area to support activities and events as assigned.
· Familiarity with University of Michigan and Michigan Medicine organizational structure preferred.
· Experience with a CRM system or other relational databases such as Raisers Edge or VYSYS preferred

Under the general direction of the Dental Director in collaboration with the Health Center Administrator, he/she diagnoses dental disease or injury, establishes treatment, planning, performs fillings, extractions and related procedures. Provides clinical supervision to Dental Assistant(s) and Dental Hygienist(s) assigned to his/her team. Serves as team member, participates in team meetings, review of clinic productivity, scheduling procedures and establishing guidelines for care and treatment.
Essential Functions
· Diagnose dental disease or injury, establish treatment plans, and perform fillings, extractions and related procedures.
· Provide dental supervision of the Dental Assistant(s) and the Dental Hygienist(s) assigned to his/her patients.
· Follow procedures that comply with OSHA requirements to maintain the safety of the patients and themselves.
· Participates in dental team meetings and general health center staff meetings as well.
· Assist in reviewing Dental Clinic productivity, scheduling procedures, and establishing guidelines for care and treatment.
· Consults with other Dentists and health care providers either as a resource or to ensure safe treatment.
· Refer patients for specialty care as appropriate. Such referrals may not be made to a Dentist’s private practice, or to a dentist with whom the dentist is a partner or associate.
· Participate in interviews and make recommendations for hiring staff, counseling employees, rendering performance evaluations and ensuring quality of care.
· Remain current on new theories and procedures through continuing education.
· Meet educational requirements for licensure.
· May participate in planning and implementation of community dental programs.
· Utilizes his/her professional judgment in the performance of the services to be provided consistent with organizational policies and procedures, the law and the standards of his/her profession.

Requirements:
· D.D.S. or D.M.D from an accredited school of dentistry.
· Two to three years’ practice in dentistry and/or in areas such as a community dentistry program.

· License to practice as a dentist in Michigan.
· Be able to perform simple functions on the computer and to be able to search and document in the electronic medical and dental records.
Physical Requirements:
· The ability to tolerate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for extended periods.
· Ability to access office files.
